Why us?

  • DOUG
Ordered new tyres online and they were available for fitting the next day - great service and very quick turn around - two new back tyres fitted & rebalance in about 15 minutes. Very satisfied with service and will definitely use A-C Tyres again in the future. Thanks.

I have been using this company for many years now & they have never let me down once. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are really helpful, knowledgeable and polite. I find the prices to be really reasonable and whether it's new tyres, a service or repair work - the work has always been carried out smoothly and professionally. I cannot recommend them enough, keep up the excellent service!

Thank goodness for A-C Tyres. I live in Bolton some 20 miles from Oldham where I work. My car broke down in Oldham on Thursday leaving me stranded and with only 6 hours before I had to make my journey home. The lads from A-C Tyres originally thought they would be able to repair the car by the following day Friday. However, hearing that I did not work Friday and would struggle not only to get home Thursday but also struggle to get back on the Friday, they sourced a propshaft for my car, fitted it and true to their word had me on the road by 5.00pm. They even liaised with the AA and obtained permission to do the work under the policy I have! I truly don't know what I would have done without A-C Tyres yesterday and cannot thank them enough. A very professional company offering a personal service which is often hard to find these days. Thanks to all!

  • Make the right choice for your car

    tyresizingEg: 215/60 R 16 91 V.

    In this example:

    • 215 is the tyre’s width (A) in millimetres.
    • 60 is the tyre’s profile (B).
    • R indicates the tyre’s construction type (in this case radial).
    • 16 is the wheel rim diameter (C) in inches.
    • 91 is the vehicle’s load index (the maximum load it can carry).
    • V is the tyre’s maximum speed rating.

The speed and load ratings of the replacement tyre(s) may be higher but cannot be lower than the values given in the vehicle handbook.

  • Tyre Law

    Roadworthy tyres means:

    Tread

The tread must be a minimum tread depth of 1.6mm throughout a continuous band in the central ¾ of the tyre and around the circumference.

    Pressure

Tyres must be inflated to the correct pressures usually found in the car handbook, on the fuel filler flap 0r a sticker inside the driver’s door.

    Condition

Tyres must not have bulges, lumps or tears and must have no part of the inner ply or cord exposed.

Tyres must not have cuts/tears longer than 25mm (or 10% of the section width) and must not be deep enough to reach the ply or cord.

    Size

Tyres on the same axle must be the same basic size, construction and profile height.

    Spare wheel

It’s not necessary to carry a spare (many new cars will not be supplied with one) and, if you do, it doesn’t have to meet the above legal requirements while it’s in the boot. It won’t be tested in the MOT either.
